This evening is the grand finale of our multi-part celebration, and the perfect beginning to our next adventure together.

5:30 PM

Departure of Baraat

The departure of the baraat refers to the lively Indian wedding procession where the groom, adorned in traditional attire and often on a decorated horse or in a vintage car, leads his family and friends to the wedding venue to join the bride's family.

6:00 PM

Milni

At the venue entrance, the bride’s family greets the groom’s family. Elders exchange garlands and warm embraces, symbolizing the union of two families.

6:45 PM

Kanya Aagaman

In this tradition, the bride is welcomed to the mandap beneath a phoolon ki chadar (floral canopy). Loved ones walk alongside her, holding the canopy above as she makes her entrance. The moment symbolizes her transition into a new chapter of life, surrounded and supported by her family.

7:00 PM

Jai Mala

The Varmala or Jaimala is one of the first rituals that happens in a Hindu wedding. This tradition where the bride and groom accept each other for the first time in front of all their guests.

8:00 PM

Dinner & Dancing

Enjoy a festive spread of Indian dishes — fragrant curries, fresh breads, spiced vegetables, and sweets — with options for every palate. Afterward, the dance floor opens with Bollywood beats and global hits. The night continues in true Indian wedding style, with more ceremonies and celebrations still to come.

10:15 PM

Kanyadaan

The bride’s parents formally give their daughter’s hand in marriage, entrusting her to the groom. This is one of the most emotional parts of the ceremony.

10:30 PM

Mangal Phera

The couple walks around the sacred fire seven times (saat phere). Each round is a vow — from nourishment and strength to love, loyalty, and spiritual harmony.

11:00 PM

Sindoor & Mangalsutra

The groom applies sindoor (vermillion powder) in the bride’s hair parting and ties the mangalsutra (sacred necklace) around her neck. These mark the bride’s new married status.

11:30 PM

Ashirwad

The couple bows before elders to receive blessings for health, happiness, and prosperity in their married life.

A Celebration in Three Acts!

We're so happy to have you here as we share our journey and the celebrations ahead. It all started on December 26, 2021, at Strange Matter Coffee, where a first date full of laughter and instant connection set everything in motion. From coffee to lunch at Sree Saffron, that day marked the beginning of something truly special—and we've been inseparable ever since.

On July 31, 2024, we quietly eloped and began our forever. Then, on March 28, 2025, we celebrated with a romantic Bridgerton-inspired wedding alongside our beloved family and friends. And now, we’re preparing for our third and final act: a traditional Hindu wedding on February 14, 2026.

This site has all the details you’ll need to join us—venues, RSVP info, and more. And while you're here, feel free to journey down memory lane with us—explore photos, moments, and memories that have brought us to this beautiful chapter.

Thank you for being part of our story. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

With all our love,

Samantha & Ankit
